100 years of Architecture

At the kind invitation of the faculty members of the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University; Prof. Dr. Dalila Al-Kerdani and Dr. Sahar Imam. Dr. Tarek Waly, the founder of Tarek Waly Center Architecture and Heritage, gave a lecture entitled “Zamanyat Masriya ... 100 Years of Architecture” followed by an open dialogue with the students of the architectural heritage course. During the lecture and discussion, the center’s achievements were presented in the Zamanyat Masriya project, which aims to document the works of the pioneer Egyptian architects in the 20th century with the aim of educating future generations of architects, about the role played by the pioneers of Egyptian architecture, as well as the Egyptian national movement, which laid the foundations of Egyptian national intellectuality in various fields, not just architecture.
