Vision
The city is formed from successive links in the urban, cultural and societal chain of civilization, and the focus of the development of any of those urban gatherings of the city lies in the development of its communities and their right to a better life; With the different nature and conditions of these gatherings and societies, their variations, and the potentials they bear or suffer from problems, the visions and treatments differ, and the goal remains the upgrading of man and society.
In 2012, the Tariq Wali Center for Architecture and Heritage began organizing an annual training program for students and young architects, as a basic mechanism in interaction and communication between different generations of architects, exchanging scientific and practical experiences and contributing to building cadres capable of efficiently adopting community, architecture and urban issues. It was initiated by the Center by organizing the first program entitled "Methodology for the Development of Existing Urban Communities". The program consisted of two main axes. The first is the study and theoretical research on the area and the different dimensions of its urban history and present, and the other is the field study of the area during which the work team conducted an urban survey The entire place included a number of community dialogues with the people of Kom Ghorab to get acquainted with their vision of the present of the place and their aspirations towards its future.
