A Virtual Panel Discussion

At the kind invitation of the Archives and the National Library in Abu Dhabi, Tarek Waly Center Architecture and Heritage participated on Monday, February 28, in a virtual panel discussion on Architecture as an Introduction to Documentation and Chronicling History where Dr. Tarek Waly delivered his speech during that panel discussion entitled Architecture .. Urban .. Heritage, the renewal of Arab Mind, the dialectic of the past and the future, during which he discussed a number of concepts related to the connection of man, time and space as basic dimensions of architecture and urbanism and their inherited consequences in what is called heritage.

From this regard, Dr. Waly proceeded towards defining the concepts of individual and collective creation, to come out with the definitions of architecture, urbanism, and heritage, and what brings them together of the concepts of originality and modernity, Dr. Waly completed his intervention on the methodology of reasoning on the intellectual through the tangible material through the systems.

Other participant had been involved in the event including, Eng. Rashad Bukhash from the Architectural Heritage Association, Dr. Hamdan Al-Rashdy from the Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi, Dr. Zaki Aslan from ICCROM Sharjah, as well as Dr. Mohamed El-Omda from the Egyptian General Book Authority.
